Help NYC!!

As you know, the devastation that Hurricane Sandy dumped on NYC was staggering.  Thousands of people are without power, too many people are staying in shelters and don't have anything but the clothing on their backs.

One of my friends, Dee, lives on Staten Island and has been lucky, however she is still looking for friends that she has not heard from since before the storm.  She has been to a local shelter and seen numerous families with young children (newborns!) without any of their belongings.  She graciously has begun to collection donations of clothing to distribute to the shelter.

The needs are wide: adult clothes, baby and children's clothes, winter outerwear.  In Dee's words:

As more and more people are being found they are asking for EVERYTHING. If you can donate it, they will take it. Doesn't matter what size, gender, condition. These people have nothing. Some showed up dripping wet, leaving everything behind. There are many still trapped so the need will be ongoing. Thank you all again soooo much

I'm asking you to please go through your clothes and your children's clothes and donate anything you can.  If you are able to donate, please email me and I will give you Dee's address.  Thank you for your generosity!!!
