I am a blogger!

So I have now found the wonderful world of blogging. I have found that I am getting pissed at myspace. I am not sure why, it's just not the same anymore. I guess I will start by telling you a little bit about me and my family.

I have 2 wonderful boys. Blake who is my 1st baby was born Dec 31 1999. He was a the best thing that could have ever happened to me and changed my life for the better. Lord only knows where I would be, if I would even be a life if he hadn't came. When I was pregnant with Blake they found something wrong with him. They weren't sure what it was. When he was born he was 5lbs 2 oz and had Petechiae (tiny, flat, red or purple spots in the skin) all over his body. We soon found out that he was born with CMV. Unlike most babies Blake was hardly effected by it. Although he did spend 12 days in the NICU, had to have a platelet transfusion and is now deaf in his left ear because of it. But if you were to met Blake today you would never know anything was wrong with him. He is a happy healthy rambunctious 9 y/o.

Our 2nd boy, Jeremiah was a long awaited gift. He was born May 7th 2008. This child also was not a normal pregnancy. My last 2 months of my pregnancy they noticed my fluid level was dropping. I was put on full bed rest at 32 weeks pregnant. I was going to the doc every week for NST and biophysical profiles. At 35 weeks they noticed the level was dropping so I was sent to the hospital for IVs over night. At my 38 week OB appointment they noticed that I had went from Oligohydramnios to Anhydramnios, which is no fluid. They had also noticed that Jeremiah wasn't growing like he should and that he was only 4 lbs. So they decided to send me over to L& D to get induced. Jeremiah wasn't tolerating that at all. So at 7 I was wheeled down to the OR where Jeremiah was born. He was 3lbs 15 oz and 17.5 in long. Due to having no fluid there was no cushioning so the doc cut Jeremiahs head and he had to get 7 stitches. My lil guy was also a NICU baby but got to come home after only 5 days! Now he is our happy chunky 1 y/o. As of last week he weighs 24lbs 2 oz and is 29 in long!

Now how about a little about Chris and I! We met about 6 years ago where we both worked. We are complete opposites. He is shy and quite and I am outgoing and loud, so we are a perfect match. He is not biologically Blakes dad but is the only and best dad Blake has ever known. We are finally tieing the knot October 10th of this year. And for our honeymoon we are going on a CHILDLESS, yes that's right childless 5 night Caribbean cruise! I so cant wait for that. Other than hanging with our boys we also love to go fishing! Other than that we are the stay at home and watch TV or go outside type of people.

So be on the look out for my daily (hopefully) posts!
